DESCRIPTION OF BIRD:  
Their color is brilliant during the breeding season but fades once it is over.  The female is never as colorful as the
male.  They live in pairs or groups.

HOW TO TELL MALE FROM FEMALE:  
When in color the male is a very bright orange.

ORIGIN:
They are a native of Africa.

WHEN IS THE BIRD IN COLOR:
During breeding season.

BREEDING:
They usually make their own nests and are often aggressive towards other birds.

DIET:
They eat seeds, greens, commercial eggs and soft food, and love insects.
